Wicked Awesome Weekend
My weekends seem to be 100% lounge at home or 100% busy doing awesome things. This weekend was one of those 100% awesome.
Started off Friday with a little GNO with Heather and some other ladies. Good times!
Saturday after hanging with the boys at home Miles headed off to Grandma’s for a sleepover so Mike and I took advantage of our time and visited friends Nate & Brittany for a bit and then to the movies to see Breaking Dawn followed by a stop at Menchies.
I couldn’t resist a pic with The Hunger Games. How amazing does the movie look?! I read the books a while ago when they came out and am rereading them right now. SO GOOD.
Also, my cute infinity scarf was knitted by Jess at Rowehouse… You can get it in any color combo you’d like! I could live in it.
Normally with Miles sleeping over at Grandma’s I’d take full advantage of sleeping in for once but instead I was up and at ‘em at 6:30 to meet none other than Sarah who was visiting home from California. I’m a big fan of Sarah’s blog and when I found out she was coming home I insisted she hang out with me. I’m sure she is SO glad she agreed to this. But first I hit a deer on my drive to meet her. Not awesome. I’m sorry Bambi.
After fueling Sarah with a nalgene of mimosa and some Starbucks she was ready to give everyone more cowbell – we headed to the Fall Classic Half Marathon & 5K to earn the gold medal in cheerleading.
Chelsea joined us and then we even recruited some others to put up with us after they crushed the 5K. Yay Heather & Christie! And there were so many other awesome runner friends out there today!
Heather was giving out free high fives and I was giving out free hugs. It is National Hug a Runner Day, in case you were wondering. I did get 2 random runners to hug me while they were running the half mary.
Post-race we graced BW3s with our presence. And now, I’m officially on detox. Way too much good food and alcohol this weekend.
Great job to Holly & Jay for PRing at the half today and thanks for hanging, Sarah! My life is too quiet without you and your cowbell. Oh, and you left your umbrella in my car.
How was YOUR weekend?

What a solid weekend! Mine was clutch, the hubs and I ventured out to our favorite C-bus neighborhood and explored and ate great food! I got in some solid miles running, and then mom and I explored C-bus too and tried out a different church, and went to the Book Loft and then yesterday post-injury I chilled on the couch, which I haven’t done in a REALLLY long time. Overall a good weekend methinks.
