A good week.

It’s been a good week.
I’ve ran 3 times in the last 6 days. Yes, that’s 50% success people. Those 3 runs only total about 10 miles but I’m pretty pumped about it. I think the rut is getting kicked to the curb.
We spent a lot of time with family. Mike’s grandma was in town from Florida.
I spent time with friends celebrating the impending marriage of my favorite running buddy.
I watched lots of Olympic coverage causing extreme excitement and extreme sadness.
I got some sun in the pool with the most excellent floatie chair ever.
I started to mentally and actually pack Mike and I up for our adventure to Vegas that kicks off on Friday.

For at leat a little bit, you need to go down to Casino Royale- it’s across the street from the Mirage (near Dennys and McDonalds). I haven’t been there in oh man, maybe 4 years- but I’ve been there on all three of my visits to Vegas since 2004. They have pretty cheap tables and $1 beers/daiquiris. I think it’s a great place to kill a few hours but not your wallet
If you’ve never been to Vegas before, you should go to old Vegas to Fremont street to check out the light show. One of my favorite places to eat is Battista’s Hole in the Wall- great Italian food. I’m sure a ton has changed since my last visit but you can’t go wrong with anything you choose- it’s the Vegas

The rides at the Stratosphere are pretty fun–and at night have an amazing view of the city! The Pub at Monte Carlo has a ton of awesome beers on tap and the mini sliders are excellent!
We always like going to Carnival Court at Harrahs. Big outdoor bar with the flair bartenders.
So excited for you guys–you’ll have a blast!!!
