Dear Running Part II…
Dear Running…
I wrote you a love letter on April 11, 2011. So yeah, it’s been a while. Since then we’ve run a marathon, a half marathon, a duathlon, 5Ks and more importantly tons of runs alone and runs with some of my best friends.
I’ve been on a little hiatus this summer. Which is cool. I like the ups and downs of our relationship. It keeps things interesting. I appreciate that you let me stray and come back whenever I’d like. Thanks for this hiatus especially. I know that running helps me deal with stress but I’ve really needed this time to focus on my new job, the tribulations of toddlerhood and a lot of couch time with my hubs.
However, as usual… I miss you. It’s time to heat things back up. Not too much. Not like marathon hot. Not even half marathon hot. But maybe more than a few miles a month ya know?
Thanks for the welcome back miles today. All 2.51 of them felt sweaty and lovely.
