Attention ladies!
You know what will make you feel really pretty? Lashes. Long lashes. Long thick lashes!
Too bad naturally I have rather thin, short and light lashes. It’s no secret I love mascara and am always looking for the latest and greatest to try to liven up my lashes. I’ve even been know to wear falsies for certain special occasions.
Recently I was lucky enough to win a full set of professional applied eyelashes extensions courtesy of Chef’s Widow and Christine at Skin Deep. When I found out I was the lucky winner I was super pumped especially with my visit to Vegas coming up. Tonight I took advantage of my good fortune and headed to Christine’s lovely loft in Ohio City to get glammed up!
The whole process was actually quite relaxing. I got to lay on a table with my eyes closed for several hours while Christine beautified my peepers. She started by adding some moisturizing pads under my eyes and then did a slight tape job on my over eye area to create her workspace and the whole thing was painless. She then began to apply individual silk lashes to my actual lashes. The process was very intricate and professional and I couldn’t feel the fake lashes at all. She continued to build them up until they went from meh to meow!
I was blown away with the results! I feel so feminine! The best part is that the lashes feel weightless and are not irritating me at all. The lashes should last me 3-4 weeks!
Now if I wouldn’t have won this sweet little deal I’m sure it would be hard for me to justify the $195 initial price tag on these. But after that a fill session is only $40 every 3 weeks. Yeah, that’s still not super cheap but it may be something I’m willing to pony up in exchange for giving up something else I might spend my ‘fun money’ on.
If you have a month of important events I especially would recommend this splurge! How perfect would they be for the holiday season or for a wedding and honeymoon?
If you are interested I would highly recommend a call to Christine, she was wonderful and made the whole experience feel like a mini vacation. I even snoozed for a few minutes during the process!
I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on how they hold up! I’m so ready for Vegas now with my lovely lashes!

Castor oil helps grow longer lashes! Mine certainly aren’t as long as yours, but it does help. I use the oil cleasing method to wash my face and remove my makeup as well and that’s how I get the castor oil on my lashes. It’s just olive oil and castor oil, but I’ve had great results.
