A few new things I’ve become obsessed with lately. Must share…

tarte cheek stain — this was a last minute impulse buy at Sephora and it is now my favorite tool in my make up bag. It comes in several shades and I’m dubbing it a summer must have!!

$5 cookie greetings from Cheryl & Co — Mike sent me one of these as a little yay fun gift at my new job. You pick a message box and it ships for $5 total. A super fun little hello to send to those you love.

The place I live. Before we had Miles I still loved where I lived but I don’t think I fully appreciated all that is Vermilion. The first two summers we had Miles weren’t as fun since he could ‘do’ a lot. He was a tiny infant the first summer and last summer we did a little more outside but not as much. This summer we are outside every night riding bikes, going to the beach, hitting up the ice cream shops and every single playset in a 5 mile radius. Blogging and working out have taken a serious backseat but I wouldn’t trade that for these sweet summer nights with the boys!

This tip from Iowa Girl Eats on a ridiculously easy way to add volume to flat hair.

OK, I think that’s it for now. Enjoy!

That Cheryl’s cookie greeting is the cutest! Way to go Flowbot! I think your evenings sound ridiculously amazing! Completely jealous up in here! How can I get in on this lunch-break eyebrow wax situation?

I think your evenings sound perfect!
I’m obsessing over my Suave Keratin shampoo/conditioner. LOVE the stuff.
Oh, and bright pink nail polish. :)

I love that hair tip from IGE too!
I’m not sure I’m obsessed with anything right now. Maybe ice cream…? :)

Kimi, I’m obsessed with making my own healthy version of popsicles for the kids. I bought the molds at Meijer’s for less than $10. My mom bought another shape popsicle mold and made Gatorade pops for the kids! :) I’ve been making milkshakes and then pouring those into the molds. I make Mariah her version with vanilla Silk soymilk, Tofutti “ice cream”, some vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast, and sliced strawberries. Cassius gets vanilla Breyer’s natural vanilla, vanilla Carnation, whole milk (getting some pounds on that kid!). Lydia is my chocolate lover so she gets the same as Cassius, but with some cocoa powder and chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast. I also used banana-blueberry-green smoothie I make for the kids and poured those into the molds, too. So delicious and so far a great hit with the kids.

I, too, have been doing not much else but playing outside with the kids all day and night (now that Lydia is older and able to keep up with her little legs and wants to be outside ALL THE TIME). My house is a disaster, but we’re all smiling! :) Enjoy these precious nights. So fun.
