The rest of it… and other things.

Well I told you about my arrival in Utah, and getting my ass kicked by an elevated run. The rest of the weekend was just as awesome. Stef already did such a good job recapping it all so I suggest you head on over here and read about it.

Something she did leave out was our acquiring matching race outfits for the CLE half! But rather than reveal them here I think I’ll keep you in suspense. Let’s just say you won’t be able to miss us come race day.

Also, May 18th can come ASAP so Stef can experience all the amazing that is Ohio!

Other things…

Does anyone else usually feel like taking time off work isn’t worth it once you get back and see your monster of an inbox? I still haven’t finished weeding through my inbox. Sigh.

Miles got a hair cut this evening. He was amazingly well behaved, it was awesome. He only had a meltdown when we made him leave. We rewarded his awesomeness with playtime at Burger King. He gets so pumped to climb around the play land area and go down the slide.

I recently watch all of Downton Abbey. Like within a week. I go on show binges like that. Ummmm I love it. What took me so long to watch it? So if you haven’t watched it yet definitely add it to you list!

If you could be a character on Downton Abbey who would you be? This is probably the obvious answer, but I’d want to be Mary of course!

Elevation, you’re no friend of mine.

Saturday Stef and I had plans to run 7 miles. I was pretty excited to run with my friend for the first time! We also run the same pace too so it had potential to be great.

Stef, you are a great running buddy. Utah however, not so much.

I knew there was an elevation difference of about 5,000′. I knew it might make me a tad more winded but I definitely under-estimated it’s power. My legs felt fatigued a mile into the run. I was not chatty Kimi like I normally am on friend runs. Dang, Utah.

Also we were running into some pretty legit wind on the way out. No biggie I thought, tail wind on the way back!

Wrong. So wrong.

The wind shifted or something awful when we turned around and I felt like I was sprinting into a brick wall! That couple with the elevation gave me the toughest run I’ve had in a good long while.

However running with Stef was still great! Thank goodness I’m not traveling here for a race in a few months.

Have you run in higher elevation before? Did it kick your butt or are you too baller to let it get to you?

Hello Utah!

Well I made it to Utah on Friday! It was a bit surreal to jump into Stef’s car and sit beside her in real life. And by surreal I mean awesome!

We did what most people would do when meeting in real life for the first time and drove straight to Lululemon! We’re on the hunt for matching running outfits for the CLE half. We didn’t have any luck on that front but I did pick up a new pair of Wunder Under crops because they are just divine.

After a little more shopping I got to visit lovely Alpine where the Davis crew resides. I’m pretty sure I’ve said ‘The mountains are so pretty’ about 1,000 times this weekend.

After playing with Winston, who is the most beastly lab I’ve met we headed to Yogurtland. It was delish of course, but no more so than Menchies.

After that we just hung out, you know, just hang out like friends do IRL! Then I showed how cool I was by falling asleep watching a movie! I’m neat like that.

More to come!

Tomorrow’s my Friday! On real Friday I’m off to Utah!

Getting my hair done.

Welp, I’m due for a little hair refresh tomorrow. I cut it off not too long ago and miss my long locks so I have no desire to cut any more off, just a trim. Buuuuuutttttt I am undecided on hair color.

Currently my hair is a tad blonder than it’s been for a while.

While I enjoyed it for the holidays I’m ready to let it go. But what to do?

Before the blonde I had it very close to my natural color. Strawberry dirty blonde – ish.

Before that it was ombre, which I LOVED.

And before that I was dark!

But now it’s not that long so can I pull off a shorter ombre ‘do? I love the colors on this ombre!

But I do think I’m leaning towards a darker ‘do.

What say you? What do I do with this mop?
